Rebuilding my foot care business in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Hello Nova Scotia! My name is Kirsten, and I am the sole proprietor of Kirsten’s Foot Care. In December 2021, I moved from Ottawa, Ontario to Cole Harbour, though I am originally from New Brunswick. I finished my nursing education, and began my journey into this career of feet, diabetes, and education. Here in Nova Scotia I am a Licensed Practical Nurse, but have kept my license as a Registered Practical Nurse in Ontario. I am not only a Advanced Foot Care Nurse, Foot Care Nurse Educator and Diabetes Educator (not certified). So much of what I do is focused on prevention and education, and I am thrilled to bring that back here to the maritimes. In addition to providing these services, I will also be providing advanced foot care training to LPNs, RNs and NPs here in Nova Scotia (and beyond). I hope that my excitement in what I do, and focus on best practices makes an impact.
On a more personal note, I am a single mother in my early thirties just happy to be living closer to family. My son is two years old, and a. handful! While working, you may notice that all my scrubs are Disney, as I am a bit of a Disney fanatic. I am currently accepting clients as I am rebuilding my business from here in Dartmouth. At this time, I am providing foot care in Dartmouth, Cole Harbour, Eastern Passage and Cow Bay. I look forward to caring for you and/or your loved ones feet and getting to know the community!
